Our Tutors

I am a small community-focused organization with two private tutors.

Sean

  • Private Tutor for 2 years with over 200 satisified customers.
  • 1 year experience as a Computer Science and Math teaching assistant at the Community College level.
  • Experience working with groups up to 6 people in Math.
  • References available upon request.

     
    Ai is a Japanese tutor and native Japanese speaker.
    Qualifications:

  • Tutored Japanese and English to students in the tutor lab for three years (2004-2007).
  • Teacher's Assistant for Community College courses.
  • Worked with students in small groups of 3 to 4 to help develop their basic reading and writing skills in Japanese.
  • Experience in helping individual students prepare for exams, improve communication skills, and correct accents.
  • Received General Associate's Degree from PCC.
  • Filled out evaluations and reports to chart students' progress to report back to the instructor.


    • Robert is a Computer Science tutor with specialties in Algorithmic Design and Discrete Mathematics.

    Ari is a Chemistry tutor.

    Updates and Rates

    There are now source code examples for C++, as well as some worksheets with examples from a variety of topics.

    Ai charges $25/hr for Japanese tutoring, and Sean charges a variable rate between $25-$60/hr depending on the difficulty of the topic, as well as the timing of the term. Midterm weeks tend towards the $60/hr mark, while general topics up through Linear Algebra and 1st year Computer Science courses tend towards the $25/hr mark.
